Code of Conduct...

All Visitors agree to abide by the Rules of the Club and to observe the Etiquette of Golf. A brief Code of Conduct for the guidance of Visitors is set out below.

1. The dress of all Visitors whether on the course or in the Clubhouse shall be of appropriate standard. See Dress Code for requirements.

2. Coats, Hats, Jeans, Trainers are not permitted in the main lounge at any time.

3. Caddy carts are not allowed in any part of the Locker room or to obstruct the entrance.

4. Practice shall only take place in designated areas.

5. No Visitor shall reprimand a Club employee. All complaints must be made to the Secretary in writing.

6.Cars must not be parked in a way that they cause obstruction to other vehicles.

7. All Visitors must abide by the starting rules.

8. Visitors must not change in the car park, this includes shoes.

9. Members are responsible for the conduct of their visitors and must sign them in the Visitors Guestbook in the Clubhouse.

10. Visitors who intend to play must sign in at the Professionals Shop together with the introducing Member before commencing play. Members must play with their guests.

For the vast majority of people, these rules and Etiquette of golf are no trouble. They are simply normal good manners applied to a Golf Club.

SLOW PLAY:

Please do not cause congestion and frustration on the course by slow play. 3 1/2 hours should be ample time for a round of golf.

PARKING:

Vehicle parking space is provided in the Club Car Park. The restricted parking area adjacent to the Clubhouse is for the use of the designated officials of the Club. Visitors should not park on ground belonging to the Railway as the Club has no rights in respect of this property. Parking on the roadside is discouraged as it damages the verges.

The Police have indicated that they will prosecute the driver of any vehicle causing an obstruction. Vehicles should not be parked on the Goods Delivery ramp as access is required for the delivery vehicles who service the Club and could obviously have serious consequences.
